(Chambers 69) "Among the best of his visual (as opposed to literary) photocopy books, showing a more interesting progression than the common phrase 'plates in two states'. The twelve heads, starting as spontaneous drawings, are allowed - encouraged - to shape their own character and development; background and tone are added to outline, completing whatever notion the first sketch suggested. This entertaining experiment exemplifies his trust in the guidance of spontaneity."
