A Reply to Z, by William Hazlitt. With an Introduction by Charles Whibley. 8vo, 25.5cm, 40pp., Printed at the Curwen Press for the First Edition Club, London, London, 1923.

Number 222 of 300 copies printed in Baskerville (with ornaments in red) on Zanders hand-made paper. Quarter scarlet buckram with gilt spine titling, black cloth sides, gilt top. Some browning to endpapers, printed dust-jacket rather chipped and dusty. A very good copy.

Roger Senhouse's copy with his book label and a pencilled inscription "From A.J.A. Symons to Roger Senhouse" (in Senhouse's hand). Loosely laid in a Christmas card from "Ivor and Barbara, 8 Connaught Place, 1949" featuring tulips and four lines of handwritten verse. This can only be fellow First Edition Club member, Ivor Stewart-Liberty, head of the Liberty family until his death in 1952.
