Inserted plates, some being reproductions, others using the eighteenth- and nineteenth-century engraved blocks, one double-page. Figures within the text. Full maroon buckram, ornately titled in gilt. Slight wear to spine, but a very good copy indeed.

A former owner has provided a neat manuscript index at the rear - mostly of types, Rosart, Fleischmann, etc.
