Ornate title-page with chromolithograph borders in silver, red and black; specimen leaves printed throughout (on the rectos only) in black, red and blue, presenting commercial work (invoices, letterheads, etc.) in an extravagant "artistic" manner. One leaf of script types pasted in at the rear. Lacking free front endpaper and presumably half-title. Maroon half-morocco with pebbled boards, severely rubbed, marbled endpapers. Internally very good.
A very unusual and interesting specimen book not, as far as I can determine, on COPAC or Worldcat. Furthermore, although the artist style of printing may not be to everyone's taste, there is nothing of the indefinable provincial feel to this specimen. Both execution and design are excellent. In English, the title might just read 'Collection of samples as Models for Commerce in Industries, Companies, Banks, Transport Companies, Customs Agents, Notaries.'
