Hymns and Prayers for Use at the Marriage of Roger Antony Horby and Veronica Blackwood at St Paul's Church, Knightsbridge. December xvii, mcmxxxi. 8vo, 215 X 155mm, [8]p, [printer unknown, but NOT ASHENDENE PRESS], n.d. (1931).

Set in Centaur and Arrighi Italic and printed in red and black on specially watermarked handmade paper. Blue printed wrappers, sewn with silk thread. A fine copy.

The marriage service of C.H. St John Hornby's second son presents something of a puzzle. Though not recorded by Franklin, or listed in the bibliography, it was produced - and well produced - as an imitation of the Order of Service for his first son's wedding in 1928. There is, however, no known instance of the use of these typefaces at the Ashendene Press at it was certainly printed elsewhere - but why?
