One of 60 numbered copies printed in black on China White paper (17 linocuts by Hellmuth Weissenborn in purple, green, Whittington red or dark blue). 16 of the linocuts are hand-coloured by Sylvia Stokeld. Bound Japanese-style, laced with grey cord, in scarlet paper covered boards, red endpapers and matching slipcase, title label printed in red on the front. A fine copy.
The majority of the linocuts are of London scenes. They are accompanied by an anthology of fifteen short extracts from nineteenth and twentieth century poets and novelists, a nursery rhyme, a haiku and an anonymous contribution.
