De luxe edition, number 72 of 130 copies printed on variously coloured Canson Ingres papers and signed by Christopher Skelton and David Kindersley. Typeface: Hyperion. 16 Proverbss by Iddries Shah in alphabetic format, then repeated on Japanese paper in a contrasting setting. Quarter dark brown morooco by George Percival, Leicester, cream linen sides blocked in gilt, acetate dust-jacket and decorative slipcase. A fine copy, inscribed by David Kindersley.

'The reception of my little book 'Variations on the Theme of 26 Letters' has encouraged me to venture still further. Having explored to some extent the shape of letters in alphabetic form it seems natural enough to make words and even in some cases let words make pictures.'
