Christine Tacq. 'Heard on the Green.' Relief-etched copper
engraving in three colours, purple, blue and yellow, printed from three plates, image size 138 X 98mm, artist's proof, titled, numbered and
signed by the artist [Thame] (2011).
Number 3 of 25 wide-margined artist's proof's done on hand-made paper. A fine well inked impression.
A copy of this engraving in black-and-white was tipped into 'Heard on on the Green' (140
copies, Greenside School, Shepherd's Bush 2010). Only in the six
special copies was this signed. There is a completely separate
A/P printing on large paper. This printing in colours is something of an experiment - only five or so have been printed.
The artist Christine Tacq hosted a very
successful printmaking workshop with pupils at Greenside School,
Shepherd's Bush, in March 2010. Twenty-four pupils, four from each year,
worked with Christine, who then added an impromptu class after school.
Each copy the book Heard on the Green contains as a frontispiece
her original print by Christine and finishes with a print by one of her
students. Profits from the sale of the book go to the school.
