Designed by Walter H. McKay, Columbia, is a roman which is modern in serif treatment and stress.

Set and printed in red and black on Hyacinth paper as a specimen of Hollandse Mediaeval type, but displaying other S.H. De roos types as well  (Javaanish, Erasmus,Grotius, Magere, etc.) A very good copy indeed.

Printed in black, brown and blue with illustrations and attractive samples of the type's use; grey overlapping titled in reddish-brown, decorated in yellow. A near fine copy.
The roman designed by S.H. De Roos. It is a light face with little variation in colour and somewhat condensed. The serifs are small and oblique on the lower case, The capitals are shorter than the ascenders and narrow, especially H and T.

A light roman designed by S.H. De Roos. The type has vertical stress, rather thin flat serifs, extending both ways on top of the ascenders.

Erasmus Roman with Italic and Grotius Book- and Jobbing Types. Designed by S.H. de Roos. 4to, 30.5cm, 16p, Amsterdam Type Foundry, Amsterdam, (1923).
Handsomely printed in red and black (with borders and illustrations in other colours). Examples of book and display work. Top edge a bit soiled. A very good copy.
A face with light serifs and short descenders, many of the serifs shaped as though drawn with a pen.

Printed in black on Van Gelder paper with borders and ornaments in olive-green. Tipped-in leaves printed in a variety of colours and using a variety of papers (one of these has offset the facing page). Grey paper wrappers titled in brown. A near fine copy.

Text mostly in Bodoni. Sporting vignettes, vignettes of trades, Zodiacal vignettes, printed in green and reddish-brown against toned backgrounds. Black cutaway covers, some wear to extremities. About very good.

An enjoyable galley in miniature.

Printed in black and orange with decorative covers. Staples rusted, spine strehgthened with tape. Slight spotting to covers. Good copy.
