One of 114 copies printed in several colours from foundry, monotype, photopolymer and wood types set by hand and machine, rhe body text being Garamond. Additional faces include Fournier, Caslon, Cochin and various nineteenth-century typefaces. Papers include Rives and Arches, Barcham Green hand-made, St. Armand, Kochi (from Japan) and hand-made lokta (from Nepal). Illustrated with an original signed pochoir by Jef Aerosol, an original relief print by Melissa Schulenberg; stencil by Guy Berard, and various found images and stencils. Bound by Velma Bolyard and Mark McMurray in flexible quarter vellum over thongs, grey Ingres paper sides, decorative parchment label inset on the front cover. Slipcase. A mint copy.

Consists of fourteen lessons in English and French concerning the Arts of the Book and sundry other topics. Collected from found and fabricated texts by the two main semi-fictional characters, Cal & Prosper, exiles on a visit to Paris to learn the art of printing. Also a type specimen and leaf book, 'Lecons' recalls printers past and present who have produced books in Paris.
