The Creative Craftsman, by John Farleigh. First edition, 8vo, pp.xii,268, G. Bell and Sons Limited, 1950.
Inserted black-and-white illustrations within the text; Includes chapters on, inter alia, Bernard Leach, Sydney Cockerell, Irene Wellington, Carl Dolmetsch, Hebe Cox, Guido Morris. Scarlet cloth with gilt spine lettering, pictorial dust-jacket (a little rubbed at extremities) by John Farleigh. Book label of John Blowey. A very good copy.
Inscribed 'To J.K.T. Worden with best wishes from Guido Morris, Xmas 1950'. Worden of Marazion, Printer & Publisher, was the major creditor when, in 1953, Morris forced to close his St Ives based Latin Press. It is believed that Worden took Guido's press and typefaces as part-payment.
