Title-page in red and black. Set in Caslon type and printed on hand-made paper. 12 inserted photogravure plates after etchings by Samuel Palmer with original tissue guards. Binding of full blue cloth stamped in gilt with title and vignette of a piping shepherd ("adapted by Mr Richmond Seeley from a sketch by Samuel Palmer"). Edges uncut. Uppingham School Pririze label, slight spotting to endpapers, but overall a very bright fresh copy.
