Parallel German and Ennglish texts (the former in gothic) printed on stiff wove paper. Frontispiece, four full-page and other small engravings by Bartolozzi, Harding and Birrell. Contemporary half calf, distressed at the spine, marbled paper-covered boards, predominantly olive and grey. Wiston Old Rectory library label. Internally a very good clean copy.

The illustrations are stipple engravings by F.Bartolozzi (four vignettes and frontispiece); Harding (three plates); and A.Birrell (one plate). Bensley's type, cut by Figgins, is here in a large size and well-inked. ESTC T93829
