One of 1,500 copies printed in reddish-brown and black (the illustrations in many colours) on wove paper and signed by the artist upon the colophon. Frontispiece and 11 other inserted plates, vignettes within the text. Grey cloth sides, mauve velvet back, inset printed spine label. Cream card slipcase slightly handled, original glassine. A fine copy.

Artist's own copy, not numbered, but initialled 'C.H.'. The colophon is blindstamped 'Out-of-Series Presentation Copies'.
