Title-page in reddish-brown and black. Illustrated with 16 aquatints. This, number 16 of 16 copies on Arches handmade paper with an additional suite of prints in a folder at the rear, plus a watercolour within a passepartout. Semi-stiff folder, titled in red and black, cardboard chemise (cracked at the edge, but holding), remains of slipvase. Some spotting to preliminary blanks. A very good copy.
There are several states. The edition was limited to 1,500 copies of which numbers 1-16 are as above, numbers 17-32 with an additional suite (but without the watercolour) on Velin, numbers 33-132 with the aquatints in black and 1,368 copies on Lafuma. There were also copies on special papers for the contributors.
