Title-pages in black and red. Many photographic and line illustrations in Volume I, mostly of early flying machines. Volume IIconsisting of 13 colour plates with folding overlays of very considerable complexity facing the text. Rose cloth, titled in black and white, inlaid with pictorial designs of airships, motor cars, trains, spines decorated with a geometric design in black, floral endpapers. Occasional slight browning to the facing text (not the plates) of Volume II. A very good copy of a quite outstanding piece of design.
