One of 100 copies, designed by Dave Freeman. Illustrated with upwards of 70 photographs, many full-page. Black cloth blocked and decorated in silver upon the upper board. A fine copy with an interesting Lion & Unicorn prospectus loosely iinserted.

The text provides objective commentary to the contemporary black and white photographs of working-class Britain in the 1930s, free from nostalgia for the period.
