Sadleir (Michael). Forlorn Sunset. [Colour lithograph frontispiece by John Piper.] 8vo, pp.xii,501, Constable, London, 1947.

One of a few copies of the first edition specially bound in full vellum for presentation by the author; marbled endpapers, Michael Sadleir’s initials in gilt at the foot of the upper cover, gold top, spine titling very slightly worn. A very good copy indeed.

Signed and inscribed by the author to Douglas Gordon on the front endpaper: “With thanks for some excellent turbot, Sept. 1956.”
