Sold with a short T.L.s from Adams Bros, Februar 11th, 1936, to Thomas Warburton 'they are all fine impressions, and were collected by one man who also who had a fine collection of Rembrandt etchings' and a an interesting A.L.s from P. Colnaghi, February 17th, 1936, in tre the catalogue of Augustus John etchings: ''We knew the latter were high, but we did not realise just how high! The exhibition has done us a little good indirectly, for we have sold some four John etchings as a result of it. But I'm sorry for the buyers who have bought at the high prices, which seem unjustified in view of the market records ... Etc.'
