Calendar for 1869. Broadside calendar, 52 X 35cm, recto only, T. Underwood & Co., Lithographers, Carrs Lane, Birmingham, 1869.

Text printed inred and black with very elaborate chromolithographic borders in grey, green, red, white and much gold. Attractive (and large) floral headpiece. One or two light spots at extremities but in general in very good condition.

Something of a tour-de force from this well-known firm and - of its kind - a delightful piece. A good deal of ingenuity has been shown in making almost every day an anniversary. Today (16.xi. Battle of Lutzen, 1832) is not as interesting as some.
