One of 2,000 copies of the first edition in English of "Feder und Stichel" (1950) printed in black and reddish-brown on one side of the leaf at the private printing office of D.Stempel. The calligraphic pages were designed during 1939-41 by Hermann Zapf. All the metal plates were cut by hand. Type: Palatino, designed by Hermann Zapf for the original German edition. Brown paper-covered boards decorated in blind, vellum spine titled in gilt. A fine copy.
