Something about Myself, by Siegfried Sassoon. Crown 4to, 240 X 170mm, 10 leaves unnumbered, Stanbrook Abbey Press, Worcester, 1966.

Text written out by hand by Margaret Adams. [One of about 400 copies] printed in black, brown and turquoise blue on Millbourn white wove hand-made paper. Line-block reproductions of the text and 13 drawings by Margaret Adams (5 in a single colour, 8 in two colours). Sewn and glued into overlapping Barcham Green hand-made paper covers, with a drawing of a cat printed in gold on the front. Top and fore-edges trimmed. A fine copy.

This is the first completely calligraphic book from the Press. The text is the autobiography of a kitten, dedicated by Siegfried Sassoon to his mother: 'For mamsy from Siegried. October 20th - December 25th, 1897.' (Butcher A14)
