Reproduction of four Morris wallpapers within the text; semi-stiff pictorial card covers from a Morris design in sienna. A fine copy with a note from the publisher loosely inserted.

Sold with the typed manuscript (with many tipped-in wallpaper samples), inscribed 'Lionel's [Lionel Selwyn] (the first) copy \ Arnold Rattenbury.' This has been bound up in purple cloth with inset labels and decorations by Lionel Selwyn. Since his death, the literature upon William Morris has grown enormous but, however obscure, this item surely proves the adage that books decorate a room.
